We only show products on our website that are currently in stock. If you don't see the size or color of the item that you want, it may be out of stock or on order. Can I place an order over the telephone?
Absolutely! On the phone one of our excellent coquette represenatives is available Monday - Friday, 11am-7pm (EST) at: 1.888.473.5799.Please be prepared with the items that you would like to purchase, and your payment information. We may also have some great suggestions of items that are not available on our website! If you are near La Petite Coquette in NYC and want to pick up your web orderin the store, no problem!
Can I pick-up my web order at the store?
Absolutely! On the website, during your checkout process you will have the opportunity to choose the pick-up in-store option (free) instead of shipping. Your web order will be ready within an hour of your placement. If we are sold out of the item you will receive an e-mail or a phone call.
When will my order be shipped?
Orders typically take 1-2 days to be processed and shipped, with the exception of holidays. Any orders placed after 3pm are processed as next day transactions, so in order to expedite your shipping requests they must be received before 3pm Eastern Standard Time. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on Monday. International orders may take up to 3 days to be shipped. Please be aware that if an item in your order is unavailable, you will be notified by e-mail. All backordered items will be shipped as soon as they become available.
How much do you charge for shipping?
We have a simple flat fee shipping method for our customers. We ship USPS International for all international orders. All orders placed within the continental U.S. are shipped via UPS flat rate. These shipping times apply to in-stock items only and are estimated and cannot be guaranteed. Shipping fees are not refundable. *Saturday delivery is not available for all destinations.

Yes, while checking out you can choose to have your items gift wrapped. You also have the choice to have them gift wrapped individually, or together.

Are gift receipts available?

Where can I enter a promotional code?
Once you place items in your shopping bag you will see a box on the bottom left that allows you to enter your promo/coupon code. At this time, only one promotional code may be used per order.
What is your return policy?
To make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase, returns are accepted within 30 days from the order date. Returns will not be accepted after 30 days. All returns must be unworn and in original packaging with all tags intact for an exchange, or refund. By law, intimate apparel containing a gusset cannot be returned once it has been tried on or worn.

When shipping back to us we encourage you to use certified or insured mail, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in the mail. If returning a gift, please provide us with the name and address of the gift-giver.
Shipping and handling fees, are not refundable. Once the returned item has been received, please allow 5-10 business days for the transaction to be processed. Refunds can only be made to the original credit card. You will receive an e-mail notification once the refund/exchange has been processed. How do I return something?
We accept returns within 30 days of your order date for a refund, gift certificate, or exchange. Unfortunately we cannot accept any returns after 30 days. Enclosed with your order should be our Returns & Exchanges form. If you do not have one, you can print one here.
To return an item, please fill out the Returns & Exchanges form and enclose it with a copy of your invoice, and the item you wish to return. All returns and exchanges will be processed with 5-10 business days from when we receive the package from you. Shipping fees are not refundable.

How do I exchange something?
If you are exchanging an item from your order and the item you would prefer is in stock, we would be happy to exchange it for you. We accept exchanges within 30 days of the order date. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to us, but we will ship the exchanged item back to you free of charge. If you would like to upgrade your shipping, you will be charged for the cost of shipping.
Who pays for return shipping?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of the order date. If you would like to make a return, you are responsible for the cost of shipping. It may take 5-10 business days to process your return and once it is complete we will e-mail you a return receipt. Please note that it may take longer than 5-10 days for the credit to be seen on your credit card statement.

Nope! Bra-fittings in our Manhattan boutique are free and do not require an appointment. We have several expert bra-fitters available to help you find the best bras for you. Please allow yourself at least 30 minutes to be properly fitted. If you would like to make an appointment anyway, please contact a sales associate at 212-473-2478.
What is the most common fit mistake women make when buying a bra?
Most women are walking around in the wrong size bra. In general, the band size is too large and the cup size is too small. This is very common because women tend to believe that the smaller size will be slimming. The opposite is true. Start with a band size at least one size smaller than you are accustomed to and increase your cup size by at least one or two sizes. The band is the most important area of support and should be horizontal around the ribs with only two fingers fitting underneath.
What is the best way to fit a bra?
First the band size must be correct. Make sure it sits around the rib cage in a horizontal line and that only two finger widths can fit underneath. When you first buy the bra, it should be hooked on the loosest hooks. This enables a bra to be tightened as time stretches it out. You can either bend over and clasp the hooks behind you, or hook the bra in front and spin the band around. After the band is hooked, bend over and allow the breast to be scooped up and centered in the cups. The nipples should be centered in the fullest part of the cup. The breast tissue should not spill out over the sides of the bra or over the top. (The exception to this is the Demi or push up bra). When wearing the bra, the cups should be centered between the elbow and the shoulder. You can use the straps to adjust the position of the cups. The straps should be comfortable on your shoulders neither sliding off nor pinching.
How often should I replace a bra?
The general rule of thumb is every six months to a year. Although it really depends on many different factors, including how often you wear a particular style. A bra can last up to two years plus if properly cared for and not worn as your everyday bra. Washing by hand and using a lingerie wash is highly recommended.
What is the difference between a contour, demi, padded, push up, and plunge bras?
Contour bras are constructed with a fiberfill or foam lining to provide definition and shape. Because of the lining, the nipples will not show through. Contour shapes create a more rounded bust line without adding size. They are very good for under smooth tops like t-shirts.
A demi-cup bra is an under wire bra in which the top half of the cup is partially cut away to expose the top half of the breast. These are sexy and flattering, often worn with low cut tops.
Padded bras contains padding to add fullness. These bras often come with removable demi pads ("cookies") for some extra oomph.
A push up bra is designed to give the appearance of a fuller bust. The underwire emphasizes the breast by lifting them high. Often some angled padding is used to create a center cleavage.
Plunge bras are a very low front bra with angled cups and a thin center gore. It is excellent for low necklines.
What is the best way to wash my lingerie?
Your delicate items don't stand a chance against the rough agitation of the washing machine. The fabric may tangle, crease or bunch up, while underwires in bras may bend, lose their shape or pop out. Use our lingerie wash, Le Blanc, to care for your intimates. Soak the garments for about half an hour in lukewarm, soapy water before rinsing. Use slightly cooler water for bras, shapewear, and other highly elasticized items; the fabric actually gets "shocked" back into shape in colder water. Avoid hot water which will break down the elastic and shrink natural fibers. If you absolutely must machine wash, first hook your bras closed then put all like items in a mesh lingerie bag -- and wash on the delicate cycle. The heat from the dryer will cause fabric to break down much more quickly, causing the garment to lose its shape and fit.
